CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia (February 21, 2011) – Today, Meddius, the leading provider of Integration as a Service (IaaS), reveals that its install base of appliances processed over 1 billion clinical transactions in 2010. The announcement was made today at the 2011 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

"Our integration subscriptions are now active in over 270 hospitals in 34 states, and handle over 3 million transactions each day, a number that’s rapidly growing. Given our trajectory, we expect to process another 1.25 billion transactions by the end of 2011, making Meddius the largest distributed integration network in the United States."

Four years ago, Meddius launched IaaS for Premier Inc., as an offering that delivers significant advantages to healthcare vendors by lowering up-front costs and accelerating implementations under a managed subscription pricing model. Since that time, Meddius has grown organically, with 2010 seeing revenue increases of 18% over the previous year.
