Scripps Health Selects Meddius Integration as a Service

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia (July 15, 2011) – Scripps Health, a private, tax exempt health system in San Diego, California has selected Meddius to provide Integration as a Service to its four acute-care hospitals and 23 primary and specialty outpatient facilities. The Meddius solution is replacing a legacy Sybase interface engine and bolstering both the organization’s interface development capacity and infrastructure redundancy.
“The status quo for vendor support in the integration engine market is no longer working. Providers want partnerships, not software tools,” comments Meddius CEO, Jeff Gunther. “Integration as a Service through Meddius provides a managed service, with the tools necessary for independent control. Over the coming months Meddius will assist Scripps in the migration of interfaces to the Meddius Integration Platform™, an appliance-based hardware and software platform that provides high-availability, monitoring, alerting, and a rich array of tools for the development of interfaces by both Meddius and Scripps resources. The platform is deployed onsite to ensure optimal privacy and security measures.
