Technical Support Analyst
Meddius is looking for a full-time Technical Support Analyst to join our energetic, multi-disciplinary team. This new team member will be providing professional, courteous and prompt technical support for all of our products, including liaising with other personnel to provide two-way communication on customer issues. This includes basic problem identification, prioritization, analysis and resolution of issues. This team member will leverage knowledgebases for prompt and accurate resolution of basic technical issues. When required, this team member is expected to participate in weekend and after-hours support coverage, including on-call duty on a regularly scheduled rotation of responsibility across the support team.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Information Technology, or other relevant combination of training and experience
- A solid understanding of computer networking involving the security, routing, VPN, and the Internet. A successful applicant will have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills and should have strong working knowledge of Linux / Unix-based operating systems.

Systems Administrator/Engineer
We are looking for a talented DevOps addition to our Engineering team. You’ll be developing and administering the systems that manage a distributed fleet of hundreds of appliances, and helping move the platform forward to support new customer and internal needs. This will require solving problems in availability, automation, monitoring, security, and networking, and troubleshooting at all layers of the stack–from the highest levels of the application through the database, virtualization, kernel, drivers, network, and hardware.
You will also develop, deploy, and maintain critical infrastructure including the SecureTransport network, Global Service Monitor customer portal, DNS, user management, source control, document management, databases, web applications, multi-platform workstations, and others. An ability to clearly communicate problems and possible solutions and assist customers in resolving external issues is an important requirement, and you will participate in a regular on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- A broad base of knowledge covering databases, operating systems, networking, security, monitoring, high availability, and software development.
- Ability to go from zero to expert very quickly when encountering a new technology.
- Be comfortable writing small- to medium-sized programs and scripts, and understanding, debugging, and making changes to larger projects.
- Should know C, shell, and at least one of Python, Ruby, or Perl
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working directly with customers.
- All of the following technologies are used at Meddius. You should have at least a passing familiarity with most of them, and be very strong in several.
- Linux kernel internals: KVM, routing, iptables, namespaces, drivers

Senior Epic Interface Analyst

We’re looking for an Epic Interface Analyst to join our Epic-focused integration practice and to specialize in data extraction and integration with Epic based modules in both hospital and ambulatory environments.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Epic Clarity and Reporting Workbench technologies and associated products
- Epic Certification, ideally in Clarity Data Model for EpicCare Inpatient and associated products
- Strengths in SQL or other database query technologies for writing packages, functions, stored procedures, triggers, and creating tables and indexes

Cerner Interface Analyst

Director of Sales
The Director of Sales (DoS) will be an experienced field sales representative with 3+ years in enterprise selling and technology solutions who will be responsible for sales results of Meddius solutions in an assigned territory or market segment.
Successful candidates will have the unique ability to create opportunities, generate leads, and produce sales results. Experience selling to executives and C-level technology leadership is essential. The candidate should show a proven sales track record as well as demonstrated organizational and leadership skills within a startup environment. Healthcare industry experience, particularly experience selling to healthcare technology vendors or hospitals is highly desirable. Experience specific to integration and middleware technologies is also useful.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate:
- “Challenger Sales” approach with ability to persuade C-level executives
- Strong communication and persuasive presentations
- Industry and technical knowledge or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly

Software Engineer
We are looking for a first-rate software developer to join our Engineering team and help create new approaches for obtaining and processing data from all kinds of healthcare information systems. You will develop and maintain the libraries, middleware, container, and runtime environment that is deployed on our distributed fleet of hundreds of appliances, which handled over a billion transactions last year. Providing outstanding service to external and internal parties will require tackling challenging problems in scalability, efficiency, fault-tolerance, data analysis, automation, and ease-of-use. You will also create new client-facing and internal capabilities of our Global Service Monitor system, and develop configuration and development support tools for other internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Thorough JVM knowledge including most of: class loading, garbage collection, leak detection, endorsed libs, threading and synchronization, JMX, and JCE.
- Expert knowledge of at least one JVM language, and familiarity with most of Python, Perl, Ruby, and shell scripting.
- Experience providing and using REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience with complex domain models, and can round-trip objects to and from other representations.
